PostHeaderIcon All You Need Is A Computer And Internet Connection To Earn Money Right Now!

These days, everyone can use a little extra cash. Monthly expenses are like breathing, but a few extra hundred dollars would be like an extra dose of oxygen! There is a way to make extra cash every month from the comfort of your own home. If you want to earn extra money from home, keep reading! A computer and an internet connection is all it takes.

Earn extra money every month by taking online surveys. Did you know taking online surveys pay upwards to seventy-five bucks or more? Some surveys may require only five or ten minutes, but others may take up to an hour. If a survey takes longer to complete, then you will earn more cash.

If you have seen those online surveys promising mucho money, I bet you have wondered how they worked. Let me try to expound on why it is all about increasing profits for big businesses.

Big corporations have to make big profits. Providing better products and services for the consumer will make them more money. As a consumer, your opinion counts! Listening to your input, the company can increase product and service quality. Big businesses are willing to let loose of big bucks for your honest assessment.

Both paid and free online survey sites can be found. You probably wouldn’t think the free and the paid offer the same type, huh? The amount of surveys available is the main difference between paid and free sites. Free sites may offer a choice of ten to fifty surveys while those paid surveys usually list over a hundred.

When you sign up online at a survey site, you’ll be required to give your email address. They need to know who you are. Also, personal information, such as your name and mailing address, may be required. Truthfully give them what they ask for because they need it in order to pay you. An email with a verification link inside will arrive almost immediately after completing the online form.

To verify your address, click the link, then you may log in and see what surveys they offer. If you want payment, review those options and choose the one best for you. I have found PayPal, check, or direct deposit work equally as well.

It is a good idea to create an alternate email address specifically used for taking online surveys. Many free email services are available, such as hotmail, yahoo, or even gmail. The reason why you want a separate address is because they will be sending you email announcements whenever they have a new offer, The inbox at your personal everyday email will be bombarded with their offers, so always setup a free account for taking surveys.

Regardless of your personal interests and hobbies, you can always find a few surveys to make extra money. Free product and service trials are great, too. You use and review what they have and get paid for it. You’ll want to be sure to read the small print before signing up of a free product trial.

You will run across lots of general-question surveys, too. Being quick and easy to finish easily make them the favorites. It only takes three or four minutes to finish these. Multiple-choice questions make them really simple. Whether quick and short or long and lengthy, always give honest answers. Remember, they need your input to improve their product quality!

So there’s nothing to be frightened of, right? Get going and start making extra cash! Getting paid for computer time? What a great gig!

PostHeaderIcon Why do you need computer security?

Computers are an inseparable part of our lives today, life that has increasingly become technology driven. Besides work, we use computers for communicating, banking, entertainment, research – just to name a few. Besides hardware, security of the new-age machines is threatened by malicious software, viruses, Trojans etc. all designed to cripple a system. Loss of computer security leads to corruption or loss of data, misuse or theft of information, identity theft and unauthorized use of client information, transmission of computer viruses that can affect third parties and can lead to potential liability, services interruptions, security breaches at vital government installations that can threaten national safety. For corporate houses, loss of computer security can make vital difference in acquiring new work and sustaining current projects.

These are strong reasons to computer support the need for installing computer security systems. The first important requirement is licensed Anti-virus software. There are over 50,000 known viruses and 200 new viruses are discovered every month. The easiest method for spreading viruses is by e-mail attachments or instant messaging messages. Viruses can be disguised as greeting cards, funny images, or video and audio file attachments. The computer needs to get updated with latest threats and that is possible only with original computer security software as it gets automatically updated every time the machine goes online.

The next important requirement is Firewall Software. This enhances computer security by controlling communications from it, prevents unwanted accesses and is capable of blocking outgoing and incoming IP addresses.

Often computer security is compromised due to spyware that enters a machine by deceiving the user or through some software loopholes. Sometimes the user is tricked into unknowingly installing it or it piggybacks on desirable software. Hence, spyware removing software is a must in the computer security system.

A pop-up blocker is another important element in securing computers. Malicious attackers are likely to use pop-up windows that are concealed as special offers to set up a malicious code on a computer.

Besides all these installations it is important to ensure correct practises to ensure computer security when accessing the Internet. Never download email attachments from unknown persons, do not share your banking details and passwords with unknown people, do not click on links inside emails, for financial transactions – type in the URL each time on your browser and take care when sharing flash drives. These are just some additional measure to ensure computer security. Always buy licensed, original Operating System Software and Anti Virus Software. While there are cyber laws to help track and punish breaches in computer security, its better to be safe rather than sorry!

Imagine showing up to the office one morning to the chilling reality of having been a victim of theft. Laptop computers are missing, LCD monitors gone and, most disturbingly, the space where the file server is vastly empty. Not only are you faced with the loss of expensive and valuable equipment, but also the critical data you are accountable for has now been compromised. Theft of valuable and sensitive computer equipment can have extreme repercussions and costs to businesses, individuals, and the general public.

You hear it all the time but never imagine it will happen to you. Unfortunately, computer theft and tampering is real and occurs more often than most people realize. As technologies improve and computers become even more lightweight and mobile, the risk of theft and security intrusions also increases. Unsecured laptops and other computer equipment are easy targets for theft in any office or public environment. Whether it is a school, private office, airport or library, there is the potential for computer theft and tampering from both external and internal threats.

According to a 2006 study by the Ponemon Institute, there was an 81% increase in the number of computers reporting stolen laptops containing sensitive information. A survey conducted by the FBI in the same year reported that 47% of computer security professionals reported a laptop theft in the past twelve months. At the office of American International Group, a file server and several laptop computers were stolen and compromised the private data of over 970,000 potential customers. While traveling, an Equifax company laptop was stolen from an employee risking personal information including employee names and social security numbers. Read the rest of this entry »
